Zappe receives invite to 2022 NFL scouting combine

Former East quarterback Bailey Zappe said he didn’t have an invite to the 2022 NFL combine, but on January 7, 2022 he finally received his invitation. The Western Kentucky quarterback will show off his skills at Lucas Oil Stadium from March 1-7. This is a big step for Zappe since more than 300 of the top prospects will participate. The athletes will go through medical, physical and mental testing which is intended to help NFL teams make evaluations before the draft. Zappe along with others will go through drills, physical tests and interviews. He was named a finalist for both the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose and Manning awards, as well as a semifinalist for the Davey O’Brien and Walter Camp Player of the Year awards.
