Your Wednesday Evening Forecast
Good evening to everyone hope you are having a good Wednesday. It has been a wet afternoon especially north and east of Victoria. We are seeing scattered storms in the area. Some of the storms are producing heavy downpours. The storms will begin to weaken as we lose daytime heating this evening. Tomorrow we will see the trend of more showers and storms along a weak low pressure trough that is moving through the crossroads right now. Then by Friday-Saturday a cold front will try to make it into the crossroads but it won’t and with moisture content high rain chances will be sticking around all week long which is excellent news.
After a dry July, all the rain we can get is great. Tonight lows will be falling back into the middle 70s. Tomorrow more afternoon showers and storms can be expected along that weak boundary. Some showers can produce some heavy rain at times. Rain amounts in the next five will average near an inch but can see higher amounts in the stronger storms. Temperatures right now are very warm towards the west where we haven’t seen much rain. That will be changing tomorrow. The marine forecast calls for 1-2 foot seas and bays are smooth. Tomorrow we will see highs in the lower to middle 90s with scattered showers and storms throughout the Crossroads. The next seven days we can expect afternoon showers and storms daily and high pressure ridge will begin to work back towards South Texas as rain chances decrease some.
