Today we saw showers and storms courtesy of moisture from Hurricane Franklin. Most of the storms have worked inland near I-10. We may see a few more showers in the Gulf move inland before weakening. Temperatures are warm throughout the crossroads in the lower to middle 90s. And tonight we will see lows fall back into middle to upper 70s. Friday will be rather hot thanks to high pressure with highs in the middle to upper 90s with a few isolated showers around however not many.

High pressure will stick around for the weekend into next week as temperatures will stay in the upper 90s with some days seeing highs into the triple digits. Heat index values will range from 105-110 each afternoon so make sure you are practicing those heat safety tips. In the tropics, invest 99-l is slowly getting organized however poses no threat to us here in the crossroads. The marine forecast calls for smooth bays and seas 3-4 feet. Tomorrow highs will be in the middle to upper 90s with small chance of showers. The next seven days features lots of heat but no rain after Friday.
