Your Thursday Evening Forecast

Good evening hope everyone is having a great Thursday. Temps throughout the Crossroads are in the middle to upper 90s. Heat advisories remain to the north and east of Victoria but will expire in the next few hours. The tropics are heating up with a new named storm. Tropical storm Harvey is now in the Caribbean and will continue to move west. It will be near the Yucatan by early next week so we will keep our eyes out on that. Invest 92-L has a 60% of development as it continues to move northwest. Thirdly, a tropical wave off African coast have 30% of development. Gert is no longer a concern.

Back here in the Crossroads, heat will remain the issue for the next few afternoons with heat index values between 105-110. Be sure to practice your heat safety tips while outdoors. However early next week, Gulf moisture will be on the rise that will lead to some isolated afternoon showers. For the solar eclipse on Monday, we may have some clouds from time to time and maybe an isolated shower possible. The marine forecast looks good with sea water temperature of 86 degrees and bays have a slight chop. The next seven days will continue to remain hot hazy and humid for the Crossroads. Isolated showers are possible for early next week. Highs remaining in the upper 90s and lows in the upper 70s.
