Your Sunday Evening Forecast

Happy Sunday to everyone and hope you having a great day. Temps are back into the middle to upper 90s all throughout the Crossroads with heat index values into the triple digits. DeTar Doppler is showing a whole lot of nothing but we are seeing rain and storms because of a stalled front. However the air in South Texas is too dry to produce any showers anytime soon. Tonight lows will fall back into the upper 70s. Monday another hot afternoon with highs in the upper 90s and we could see some triple digits too out west.

Tuesday we will see the same story. However Wednesday the models are suggesting there maybe another moisture to provide some stray showers east of Victoria but only a small chance of that happening. I am not expecting any widespread rains anytime soon. In the tropics we are watching two tropical waves. The first wave is moving off the African coast which has a 30% of development in the next five days. In the Atlantic we have tropical depression eight that poses no threat to the united states. Maybe within the next few hours it will become our 7th named storm which will be Gert. The marine forecast looks good. Bays have a slight chop, sea water temperature of 89 degrees and seas 2-3 feet. The next seven days shows lots of heat maybe stray showers east of Victoria Wednesday but the chance of that occurring is very low.
