Another hot afternoon is expected in the Crossroads with highs in the middle to upper 90s with heat index values into the triple digits. High pressure will continue to remain firm over the next few days Models suggest we may see a few stray showers Wednesday however those rain chances are low at 10%. In the tropics, we are watching two areas of interest. Invest 91-L just off the African Coast has a 50% of development over the next five days we will keep our eyes on it. To the west of that is Tropical Storm Gert with winds of 45 mph. It may become a hurricane within a day or so but will remain in the open waters. The next seven days remain hot hazy and humid. Be sure to use caution while being outdoors the next few days.
