Your Friday Evening Forecast

Another warm afternoon with some light sprinkles in places but that will only increase over the next few days. There is a stationary front to the north of us and the cold air behind it will stay there too. However, lots of warm air advection is being pulled up over the cold air at the surface and that will lead to a big ice storm in the Midwest. Back in the Crossroads, a slowly moving cold front will join forces with the stationary front and lead to good chances of showers and thunderstorms especially Monday and Tuesday. The cold front will pass up Tuesday afternoon and we will see drier air afterward. However, the dry air will be short live as the upper low that help supply storms in the early part of the week will swing through Wednesday and Thursday.
