Yorktown Police Chief Gets Sworn In
“Well it didn’t make us look too good everything that went on with the scandal,” Schroeder said.
Citizens are read to move on from former Yorktown Police Chief Paul Campos resignation and look toward a new face at the police department. Randall Snyder became the new Police Chief on Wednesday and he says everyone with the department as well as himself has a clean slate.
“I have no reason to think other wise everyone has integrity and is trustworthy,” Snyder said.
The Yorktown Police staff is short handed and receiving help patrolling from DeWitt County Sheriff’s, but Chief Snyder hopes to get back to a full staff and make sure his team is cohesive and professional.
“Officers are still out, they are still patrolling, they are still responding to calls and making cases so even in the lack of a full staff they are able to maintain effectiveness,” Snyder said.
