Yoakum Football’s Big Win In Cuero 9-10

Bulldogs See Big Positives

Yoakum football, serving notice that it is once again ready to go.
The Bulldogs have made the 3A Division I state semifinals the past two seasons. Only three offensive and two defensive starters return from last year’s team. But with their 40-21 win at arch rival Cuero last Friday, the Big Blue showed they are still strong. That win gets the Bulldogs to move up in the state 3A Division I poll to number six. Our Sean Coffey talked with Yoakum football head coach Bo Robinson about the confidence his team gets from beating the Gobblers for the second straight year.

“That gave our kids confidence when they won that game. And I think that this game will probably do the same thing for this young bunch of kids. I think it’s gonna give them some confidence going forward.”
Yoakum football hosts Gonzales Friday night.
The latest on that game planned for Friday Football Fever, 10:20 Friday night after Newscenter 25 at 10:00.
