Wrap A Child in Warmth
You can help keep a child in the Crossroads warm this holiday season by donating your gently used cold weather clothing. Coldwell Banker The Ron Brown Company along with VISD’s Kid Connection is kicking off their 23rd annual “Wrap A Child in Warmth Campaign” now through mid January.
All sizes are accepted. Individuals or businesses can donate new or gently used coats and blankets at one of many Christmas themed donation barrels throughout the city. Some locations include Holy Family Catholic Church, Triangle Cleaners, First Prosperity Bank, and Grace Lutheran Church, and also Coldwell Banker The Ron Brown Company.
“All the coats go to Kidz Connection, which is a great organization through VISD, they identify the kids that are in need of coats, and help make them a little warmer in the Christmas Season,” said Julia Welder. Organizers do ask that when donating a coat for a school aged child to keep the school districts dress code policy in mind. Jackets should be solid colors.
