Woodrow Wilson Wagner II announced as Victoria county’s new Democratic chair
VICTORIA, Texas – On Thursday, July 1, the county formally votes Woodrow Wilson Wagner II as the new Democratic chair.
He is a lecturer of speech communication and political science at the University of Houston-Victoria.
Wilson Wagner has many ideas for the Democratic Party’s involvement in the local community.
In a statement, he expresses feeling honored for getting so much support.
“So, it’s a bit humbling and exhilarating to wake up and see yourself on the front page of the local newspaper. I’m honored to accept this role and am grateful to all the humans who have supported, nurtured, and inspired me on my life journey. This community gave me so much and I want to do everything I can to give something back by helping those who are struggling and might sooner go unnoticed,” he said.
According to the new chairman, the most important aspects are his faith in God, family, and the community’s welfare.
Most importantly, the city’s underserved citizens. He is extremely proud to be a Democrat living in the state and describes it as one of many personal characteristics.
