Winds possibly to blame for outage at local Sam’s Club

VICTORIA – Customers wanting to shop at an area Sam’s Club were turned away Sunday afternoon after a power outage occurred at the store.

A store manager at the Sam’s Club on Navarro says the power went out around 4 pm. Employees closed off entrances to the store to keep customers from entering inside.

The power returned around 4:30 pm and the store resumed business.

AEP could not be reached for comment but employees believe strong winds may have caused the outage.
