Synopsis: The sun will start to shine as temperatures heat up in South Texas on Thursday. Expect above average temperatures through the long-term period, with gradually warmer temperatures regardless of the fronts pushing through that could trigger a rain shower or two Thursday night into Friday.  High temperatures will range from the upper 80’s to the low 90’s from Thursday through Monday. Western areas away from the water could reach the 100-degree mark during the middle of the week.  Low temperatures stay in the mid to upper 60’s with a great deal of sunshine during the daytime from Thursday through Tuesday.  The mention of some thunderstorms on Thursday night and Friday means a front could move through during that time period with the potential to drop temperatures by a few degrees.  By next Wednesday, storms could move into South Texas with showers and thunderstorms as well as drop temperatures down below average.
