What to expect on Community Crossroads

VICTORIA, Texas – Here’s a look at what you can expect this week on Community Crossroads. We hear from U.S. Representative Michael Cloud, Officer John Turner, Robin Janecka, Christy Youker, and Jesse Olivarez.

Cloud is running for re-election to the U.S. Congressional District 27 seat. He shares some of the successes he’s had over the years serving as our representative and what he’s most focused on.

Turner, an officer with the Victoria Police Department, shares everything we need to know about the Civilian Police Academy.

Janecka has been with the Victoria Livestock Show her whole life. She has gone from competing in the show herself to now running marketing and other operations at the livestock show.

Youker is with Keep Victoria Beautiful. KVB is a local non-profit that has been around the Crossroads for several years but was recently absorbed by the City of Victoria. With the city’s help, KVB has expanded to include citywide clean-up days. The next one coming up is for the Silver City neighborhood, Youker fills us in on the details.

Olivarez works at the Social Services department within the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent. Olivarez joins us to shares information on how the food bank can help eligible families navigate federal and state resources that can help improve their quality of life.
