West Football Looks Ahead To Home Playoff

Warriors At Memorial Friday Night

West football gets to host a bi-district football playoff for the first time in two years.
It wasn’t looking good for a few weeks ago for the Warriors to even make the playoffs. But, after its bye week, West finished the regular season in sole possession of second place in district, ripping off five straight wins. I asked two Warrior seniors what turned their season around and towards the playoffs.

Said safety Bryce Sitka, “Just coach Aley getting in there and not giving up. We just wanted to come back after that bye week harder than ever.”

Said running back Tyvon Hardrick, “First trusting the coaches. They draw up the x’s and o’s. They know what they’re doing. You just have to put the trust in them and just play, be the player and play the game. “

West football’s bi-district playoff is set.
The Warriors will face Lajoya Palmview Friday night at 7:30 at Memorial Stadium.
