West Football Fired Up Over Home Playoff Opener

Warriors' First Home Playoff In Two Years

West football not only has a playoff spot, but the Warriors get to host a bi-district football playoff for the first time in two years.
The Warriors finished the regular season in sole possession of second place in district, ripping off five straight wins after their bye week. Their win in Corpus Christi over Ray last Thursday night put the Warriors in this position. Head coach Courtney Boyce told me how excited the team is to be hosting a playoff game.

“It’s an exciting time. It’s a great reward the UIL is doing for the top seed against the lower seed from the other district. We’re excited about that opportunity to play in front of our fans. “

West football’s bi-district playoff is set.
The Warriors will face Lajoya Palmview Friday night at 7:30 at Memorial Stadium.
Tickets will be on sale at the VISD Athletic Office starting Tuesday morning at 8:30.
