West Baseball Off To Fast Start
Warriors' Home Debut Tuesday Night
West baseball, off to a great start to its new season.
Last Tuesday night, the Warriors won their season, and district, opener at Calhoun. West then won its first three games at the Bishop tournament before ending with two losses and a fourth place finish at the tourney. Two Warriors told me how good they feel about their strong start.
Said first baseman/pitcher E.J. Rodriguez, “We’re coming in playing as a team. That’s something that we lacked last year. We all come in together as a unit. We come to practice together, we just do everything together. We’re settling in really well and we’re looking forward to playing Tuesday night. ”
Said left fielder/shortstop/first baseman Blake Buzzell, “We’re feeling really good. We just got done with a great tournament. Came out in fourth place but we got some good team chemistry going on from that tournament and we’re feeling real good. ”
West baseball’s 2020 Riverside debut comes Tuesday night at 7:00 against King.
