Welder Center offering free Summer Family Movie Series
A total of five showings scheduled for the month of July
VICTORIA, Texas- Victoria College’s Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts is offering five family-friendly movies in its free Summer Family Movie Series beginning at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 16.
The other showings are scheduled for Saturday, July 18; Tuesday, July 21; Thursday, July 23; and Saturday, July 25. All show times are at 2 p.m. The lobby will open at 1 p.m.
“Now in its sixth consecutive year, the Summer Family Movie Series is offered, free of charge, to provide a cultural enrichment opportunity to all members of our community,” said Sue Prudhomme, VC executive director of cultural affairs. “Health and safety protocols are being strictly followed so that families can feel safe in these uncertain times.”
All five movies are rated G or PG. More information on the movies can be found at WelderCenter.org or on the Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts Facebook page.
To ensure required social distancing, assigned seating only is allowed at this time. Seating is limited due to occupancy limits and social distancing. Attendees are highly encouraged to reserve seats in advance by calling the box office at (361) 570-8587. Households groups of 10 or fewer may sit together, six feet from other groups. If unable to reserve in advance, visit the box office before the movie to receive your assigned seating.
Facial coverings, temperature checks and health screenings are required for visitors and employees to enter the Welder Center. Disinfectant stations are available throughout the facility.
The Welder Center is located at 214 N. Main Street in Victoria.
