Weekend Fire Estate Sale helps apartment families
December's Fire Estate Sale proceeds will help apartment families in need.
VICTORIA, Texas – On Friday, Dec. 11th – Sunday, Dec. 13th, 2 Fire Departments and 1 organization teamed up together to have an Estate sale.
Victoria County’s Fire Department and the County Fire Marshal’s Department collaborated with the local Apartment Association to sell house-hold items at the Old Club Portal and Two Step building, on Houston highway.
They sold crystal, cut-glass, collector plates, cook books, kitchen-ware, crosses, furniture, and many more items.
During the entire weekend, people were able to look at these items and shop around.
This operation Firefighter project provides Christmas toys, food, and a complete Christmas dinner to apartment families in need.
After receiving the proceeds and buying the necessary items, they have the Firefighter Santa deliver the toys and Christmas dinner to these families, as a way of giving back to our community.
