VICTORIA, Texas - The combination of weak upper level instability and abundant tropical moisture has resulted in another afternoon with scattered showers and thunderstorms for the Crossroads. Some rainfall totals have exceeded two inches today, but most folks have remained essentially dry. Expect partly cloudy skies overnight, then isolated showers and storms form again for your Friday. A sunny, hot day is anticipated for Saturday, then more tropical moisture and meaningful rainfall will overspread the region most of next week. A slow moving tropical disturbance reaches the coast late Sunday, with the biggest rain chances Monday and Tuesday. High should remain in the middle 90s, with lows in the middle 70s.
