VICTORIA, Texas - One disturbance leaves, another begins to influence South Texas, and the result is a continuation in rain chances for the region...at least for today. Isolated showers and thunderstorms dances over portions of the Crossroads this afternoon, but the brief spate of wetness will give way to clearing overnight. Expect a sunny and hot Saturday before a large upper level storm system pushes westward into South Texas and lingers through next week. The result will be scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms beginning late Sunday and continuing through the work week. Coastal locations can anticipate two to three inches of rain for the week, with inland areas receiving generally between one and two inches. Highs will be in the middle 90s and lows in the middle 70s.
