Weak Cold Front Brings Isolated Showers Tonight, but Heat to Remain in Place
Upper level high pressure has retreated just far enough west to allow a weak cold front to ease through the Crossroads this afternoon and tonight, inducing isolated showers and a few thunderstorms. Coverage will be very sparse and rainfall totals meager. Thereafter, expect fair skies will no significant chance of rain until showers return early Sunday. A more vigorous cold front arrives late Monday and will bring scattered thunderstorms both Monday and Tuesday. The tropical Atlantic remains quiet.
