Water line breaks, causing a partial Mistletoe street closure

VICTORIA, Texas – Around 4:00p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, another main water line broke and burst open.

Causing a flood to emerge on Mistletoe street, near Sam Houston.

As you can see here, parts of Mistletoe street has flooded with water and mud, which can make it dangerous to drive.

As a result, the city’s utilities office said they are closing this street starting from Alamo, all the way to Bexar’s intersection.

Apparently, the water will remain shut off until the city can replace these pipes that are over 80 years old.

Unfortunately, for Wednesday everyone residing on Mistletoe street will not have running city water.

For now, you can obtain filtered water from Christ’s Kitchen, the American Red Cross, or our local food bank of the Golden Crescent
