Synopsis: High pressure extends from the Texas coast and into the southeastern part of the United States.  Gulf moisture will continue to move into the area all week keeping rain chances alive as well as above temperatures until Saturday.  Moisture could continue to produce showers Monday night.

For the long term, Tuesday through Saturday, high pressure in Mexico will extend into Texas through Thursday keeping the area dry with sunshine.  Gulf moisture moving into the high pressure could produce some scattered showers (20 percent chance).  Coastal flooding (minor) on Tuesday and Wednesday could happen with moisture moving in from the Gulf.  Storms in the Plains extending all the way to Michigan (upper Michigan) will push a cold front south into South Texas on Friday afternoon.  The boundary could bring some scattered showers but more than anything the cool, dry air dropping down will bring a another Fall cool down.

Tropical Update:  Sub-Tropical Storm Nicole moving northwest at 9 mph with 45 mph winds will impact the peninsula of Florida and parts of the southeast coast of the United States.  The storm will move into South Florida early on Thursday and could be a category 1 hurricane with 75 mph winds.  Hurricane force conditions could impact Florida and the Bahamas as early as Wednesday.

A low pressure storm several hundred miles east of Bermuda could turn into a tropical storm over the next 24-36 hours.   The storm will move northeastward out over the Atlantic (middle of the Atlantic).
