VPD raises more than $600 for testicular cancer awareness

VPD raised more than $600 to bring awareness to testicular cancer through “No Shave November.” The trend requires officers to donate money to be able to keep their beards.

“I think it’s just a good think that our department is doing, they see that there is a need for awareness for things that will benefit them also, and knowing that it’s going to a good cause,” Lt. Eline Moya says.

They chose to donate the money to Beard Patrol, a testicular cancer foundation that spreads awareness, educates, and offers support for the cancer that is common in men ages 15-34.
