VPD declares Bike Rodeo a success
The department looks forward to hosting more bike rodeos
VICTORIA, Texas – The Victoria Police Department declared yesterday’s Bike Rodeo a success.
On Thursday, VPD hosted a Bike Rodeo at Christi’s Kitchen from 5 to 7 p.m.
During the event, VPD officers gave away 12 bikes and safety helmets to children in the community.
VPD thanked the following organizations and businesses for assisting with this event:
- Walmart Victoria for the grant, bikes and safety helmets;
- Kamin Furniture for transporting the bikes and providing storage;
- Victoria Fire Department and their Fire Marshal’s Office for helping with getting the bikes together and assisting at the event;
- Victoria Parks and Recreation for bringing the pop-up park;
- The anonymous donor who had 20 pizzas delivered;
- and Christ’s Kitchen for partnering with VPD.
The Victoria Police Department looks forward to hosting more bike rodeos in the future.
