VPD Auto Crimes TaskForce to cease vehicle inspections until further notice

Will resume after COVID-19 spike subsides

VICTORIA, Texas- A statement from the Victoria Police Department announces that due to the recent spike in COVID-19 cases in Victoria, the Victoria Police Department Auto Crimes Task Force will not be conducting vehicle inspections (VTR-68A) after July 7, 2020.

These inspections will resume once the spike has subsided; at that time a follow-up notice will be provided.

The Victoria Police Department Auto Crimes Unit is responsible for conducting vehicle inspections (VTR-68A) for any vehicle the Texas DMV or local Tax Assessor requires. They provide the service to the following counties:

Calhoun
Dewitt
Goliad
Gonzales
Lavaca
Refugio
Victoria
