Said coach Smith, “I think it’s great to compete against people like this because it only makes you better. And we have a very competitive team also, and I know our girls are gonna step up to the plate and do what they need to do to be competitive with this group.”
Said Warrior sophomore Laney Glass, “I’m pretty excited because we get to play on this course all the time. So we practice here, we know how our hits will be hopefully, and everything will be good because we play here everyday, we practice everyday and we know our mindset when we play these courses.”
Said Warrior senior Maile Sciba, “We’re very excited. It’s going to be a huge advantage for us to be able to be on our home court sort of. We really know the course really well. We play it all the time, every week. And so I think we have a huge advantage a really good chance winning it.”
The Lauren Johnson Memorial Invitational tees off Friday morning at The Club At Colony Creek.
