VISD Golf At District Round One Results 4-1

West, East Girls Are Top Two

VISD girls are 1-2 after one round of the district golf tournament.

West girls are in first place with a 370. East girls are in second place at 374. Ansilee Stehling of the Warriors and Karsyn White of the Titans had the best VISD girls rounds with matching 84’s, putting them three shots behind the leader, Kaylee Canales of Veterans Memorial.

Here are the rest of the West girls’ scores: Carly Oracion, 89; Leila Sutherland, 91; Maile Sciba 105; Emily Bauknight, 112.

Here are the rest of the East girls’ scores: Shelby Austin, 91; Loren Escalona, 94; Amber Short, 104, Adriana Jaramillo, 107. B team, Alexis Myers 107; Allison Casal, 114, Corinn Wallner, 117; Brittany Myers, 121.

Victoria East Boys Red Team is currently tied for 3rd place with the Veterans Memorial Blue Team with a first round total of 351. Corpus Christi Ray is 4 strokes ahead in second place with a 347 and The Veterans Memorial Red Team is leading after today round with a 332. Victoria West sits in fifth place with a 355 team score. The first and second place teams advance to the regional tournament. Round 2 begins tomorrow at 8am. Clayton Maraggia is leading the way for East with a first round score of 83. Cody McIntosh and Evan Salais each posted 89 while Delano Castillo carded a 90 and Karl Dickey a 95. East’s Black Team posted a 407 and was led by Grant McIntosh who posted a 97 today with help from Garrett Breshears 98, Colton Mundy 102, Mark Doane 105 and Aaron Holochwost 126. West was led by Jared Lofland with an opening round 84, Jordan Hanes 88, Caleb Misner 91, Jude Stehling and Wyatt Klekar each posting 92. East boys black team is in seventh.
