V.I.S.D. bond proposal includes a complete rebuild of Stroman Middle School
The $156 million V.I.S.D. bond proposal goes before voters next month
VICTORIA, Texas- Victoria I.S.D. board trustee Tami Keeling spoke Tuesday morning at the Victoria economic development partnership meeting regarding the bond. She explained why V.I.S.D. leaders propose distributing nearly half of the bond funds to Stroman middle school.
“Stroman is the largest single project in the bond proposal,That is roughly $74, million for Stroman. It is a demolition of the old Stroman and a complete rebuild on site a school that will have the capacity to hold 1200 students, and it will be a STEM academy of choice. That price includes demolition and escalation of costs, permitting and all of the desk and fixtures, and everything that goes into the school,” said Keeling.
