VISD announces a fun holiday week of events

The events have no cost and are open to the public

VICTORIA, Texas – VISD announced a fun holiday week of events for local families to attend, featuring Victoria ISD’s Fine Arts. The events are free of charge and open to the public.

Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021:

On Tuesday, Nov. 30, Victoria East and West High Schools performed their winter Jazz Band Concert at Victoria West High School.

Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021

On Thursday, Dec. 2, the Victoria East High School Winter Choir Concert will take place at the Victoria East High School Auditorium, 4103 E. Mockingbird Lane. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m.

The Victoria West Orchestra will also perform their Winter Concert, featuring four TMEA All-Region 14 Orchestra members, on Dec. 2 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The location for the concert is 307 W Tropical Drive.

Friday, Dec. 3, 2021

On Friday, Dec. 3, the Victoria East Orchestra will perform their Winter Concert, featuring five TMEA All-Region 14 Orchestra members, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The location for the concert is 4103 E. Mockingbird Lane.

Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021

On Saturday, Dec. 4, Vickers’ 5th-grade Choir will perform for the public at HEB plus! from 2 to 2:30 p.m. The address for the concert is 6106 N Navarro Street.

The Annual City of Victoria Holiday Parade will also take place on Dec. 4, featuring VISD’s Fine Arts Programs. The event is set to start at 6 p.m. and end at 9 p.m.

Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021

On Sunday, Dec. 5, “The Bach Festival presents Conspirare Christmas” will take place at the Victoria Fine Arts Center from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. The event is a celebration of J.S. Bach’s work and the work of composers across the decades. The Victoria Fine Arts Center is located at 1002 Sam Houston Drive.
