Victoria Young Republican President Bonded out on Drug Charges
A Victoria county young republican chairman bonded out of jail today after being arrested Tuesday.
We first reported Andrew Rokovich was arrested after a narcotics search Tuesday evening.
According to the Victoria County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies initially arrived to serve an arrest warrant for Jeffery Garcia, 35, from Victoria.
Deputies could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the home.
VCSO says shortly after 5:00 p.m. they went to serve a narcotics search warrant near the one hundred block of Mandarin Street.
During the search of the residence, deputies discovered 46 grams of cocaine and 7.2 ounces of marijuana.and prescription narcotics.
Christopher Countryman, 35, from Victoria was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 3 <28g, Class A Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana <2 oz., Class B Misdemeanor.
Jeffery Garcia was arrested for Manufacturing or Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 >=4g<200g, First Degree Felony, Manufacturing or Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 3 <28g, State Jail Felony, Possession of Marijuana >4oz. <5lbs., State felony, Writ of Committal for Criminal Non-Support.
Rokovich was charged with possession of marijuana less than twenty ounces., Class B Misdemeanor.
