Victoria woman in her 80s dies after being hospitalized due to COVID-19

FROM A NEWS RELEASE – The Victoria County Public Health Department is reporting a COVID-19-related death in Victoria County. The patient, a female Victoria County resident in her 80’s, had been hospitalized in Victoria. To respect and honor the family, no further personal information will be released.

It’s unfortunate that our County has lost one of its residents because of the spread of this virus. The Victoria County Public Health Department extends its deepest condolences to the patient’s family and friends.

As of 5 pm today, there are 27 new, confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Victoria County, and 34 newly recovered individuals. Victoria currently has a total of 1,242 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
