Victoria Woman Donates Hair to Locks of Love
A snip of hair will soon bring a major change to another’s life.
As the long brunette locks of Valerie Green’s hair hit the floor, she cant help but be grateful to have the opportunity to donate her hair to Locks of Love’s organization.
“I know there’s a lot of people in the Victoria area that have suffered from cancer and had to have wigs. The thought that my hair will be able to provide them a little bit of happiness especially around the holidays makes me feel very good,” Green says.
This organization provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children.
Green says she decided to donate when her little one gained quite a bit of strength.
“My four month year old started grabbing and pulling, and with really long hair you’d be surprised at the strength of her grip. It was starting to hurt,” she says.
Its a labor of love that’s shown through every snip of hair.
