The West Warriors look to keep their win streak alive
VICTORIA, Texas – The Victoria West Warriors will be taking on the Corpus Christi Carroll Tigers. The West Warriors continue to keep their winning streak alive. They are still tied for the district title with Corpus Christi Veteran’s Memorial. The Warriors are coming off a 49-21 win against Corpus Christi Moody last week. The Warriors went on without their starting running back Chase Patek who won’t be in the game tonight either.. Corpus Christi Carroll is coming off a 42-14 loss from last week against Flour Bluff. The Tigers are 1-6 and 1-5 in district. With a win for West tonight that should keep their momentum going well into the playoffs. The Warriors are now 6-1 and 6-0 in district. The Warriors believe in their next man up and that’s exactly what happened last week as Adam Diaz stepped up in place for Patek. Even though they came out slow, the Warriors were able to open a wide lead in the second half and hold on to the win. This Warriors team knows there are no shortcuts no matter who they are facing. This game, just like every other game, is one step closer to their goal, which is state.
