Victoria West High School students to have a virtual shared lunch with local veterans

Victoria West students will have an opportunity to pay respect and forge new and lasting relationships with veterans at the Victoria County Veterans Center.

VICTORIA, Texas – McDonald’s will honor local military personnel on Veterans Day with free meals and mentorship throughout South Central Texas.

Victoria West High School is participating in a virtual shared lunch with veterans from area service organizations on Friday, November 12.

Robert Wezeman, McDonald’s Owner/Operator says this is the least they can do for the veteran community

“It takes tremendous courage for a soldier to risk it all to protect our country. The least we can do is to offer thanks to these extraordinary men and women,” said Robert Wezeman, McDonald’s Owner/Operator. “Our flag flies not because the wind moves it, it flies with the breath of each soldier who protects it. The source of that quote is unknown, but it resonates deeply,” continued Wezeman.
