VICTORIA, Texas – The City of Victoria is touting a strong response rate for the 2020 Census, and there is still time to fill it out online. The City of Victoria has used #2020Census and #VictoriaCounts to encourage people to stand up and be counted.
Victoria’s response rate is at 53.8%. The State of Texas response rate is at 52.3%. And the National response rate is 57.5%.
The U.S. has collected census date every year since 1790. The details help make decisions on behalf of all residents, including reapportionment and redistricting. The numbers also affect how $675 billion in federal funds are distributed to tribal, state, and local governments.
