Victoria Senior League Baseball Makes Sectionals

West Hopes To Make It Back To State


A Victoria Little League baseball team wins a championship.
The Victoria West Senior League team, winning the Texas East District 27 title by sweeping Calhoun, 17-11, and 10-1. This team is made up of 14 through 16 year olds. They come from West, East, and St. Joe, along with having two middle school players. Two years ago, Victoria West Senior League made it to state, and the players on this team would like to go there again. I talked Wednesday night with members of the Victoria West Senior League District champs..

Said Hayden Sills, “We’re ready to get back We’re itching to get back to state and we’re very excited.”

Said D’Andre Fillmore, “This team’s pretty good. We’re pretty excited to be where we are right now.”

Said manager Mark Tisdale, “It’s really awesome. Actually when we went a couple of years ago that we would go to the state tournament and we did. It seems like the dream’s being relived again. This is our chance again to go to the state tournament and we have a really awesome chance to go, I would say.”

The Victoria West Senior League baseball team now goes to sectionals. Details to be announced.
