The Victoria Police Department posted some safety tips on their social media:
  • While attending this event, stay in the right-hand lane at all times! The left lane is to remain open for through traffic.
  • Follow the officers’ directions for safety and traffic guidance.
  • Once you have made it through the event, please continue to travel southbound on Main St. and take a right on to Constitution, then a right on to Bridge Street.
  • Expect delays but coordinators will be doing their best to keep the lines moving.

Other holiday events in Victoria include a Story Walk, through December 19th.

This self-paced display will feature chapters of a story posted in business windows and other prominent locations. The event requires participants to walk to different locations downtown based on the choices they make within the story.  The first chapter is located at the Victoria Public Library.

You can also visit the lighted tree Downtown from now until early January. The tree comes to life each night with a full animated light show set to Christmas music.
