Victoria Police Department employee arrested for Theft of Property
Internal investigation has been initiated in response to arrest
VICTORIA, Texas – On Friday, June 11, around 5:55 p.m., Katie Moore, a telecommunications operator employed with the Victoria Police Department, was arrested by the Texas Rangers on a warrant for Theft of Property >$30,000<$150,000, a Third-Degree Felony.
This offense was not committed during the time of her duties nor did it happen in the City of Victoria. Although the Victoria Police Department was notified prior to the arrest, they did not assist in the Texas Rangers’ investigation.
In cooperation with Victoria Police’s departmental policy, an internal investigation has been started, and Moore has been put on administrative leave.
