Victoria man detained after threatening ex with butcher knife
VICTORIA, Texas — The Victoria County Sheriff’s Office detained a Victoria man over the weekend after he threatened his ex-girlfriend with a butcher knife.
He’s accused of threatening his ex-girlfriend with a butcher knife inside her home they temporarily share.
Court documents show, Juan Jose Martinez got into a verbal argument with his ex-girlfriend because she woke him up while trying to get her belongings.
Authorities say Martinez grabbed a 12-inch butcher knife and started yelling, “I’m gonna kill you, b—-.”
Deputies were able to detain Martinez without incident.
Martinez is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
