Victoria judge passes away at 64

VICTORIA- The first 377th state district Judge Robert C. Cheshire passed away, according to Judge Steven Williams.

The district judge retired in December of 2014 after 25 years but still over-saw cases in as a retired judge. Victoria District Attorney Steven Tyler worked with Judge Cheshire for 17 years and said he didn’t know anyone who worked harder and left a lasting impression. He also went on to say Cheshire was always concerned for people who came before him even during sentencing.

This is a developing story. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
