Victoria ISD seeks feedback on potential rezoning

School district seeks feedback from community on potential rezoning based on demographic study

VICTORIA, Texas – The Victoria school district is seeking feedback from community members on re-drawing district lines.

Victoria ISD Superintendent Quintin Shepherd spoke with a group of community members Thursday about why redistricting is needed.

“There’s a big conversation that we’re going to try to have with our community, and really it’s the culmination of the work of the taskforce has been looking at demographic trends in the district and what that might meaning for rezoning and boundary analysis and so we’re starting now to kick off by going out and just sharing this conversation with our community, asking their thoughts and opinions,” Shepherd said.

Two community forums are planned for 6 p.m. Tuesday, February 11th and Wednesday, February 12th at the Victoria ISD Fine Arts Center.
