V.I.S.D. maintenance crews making repairs at six campuses

VICTORIA, Texas- Aloe Elementary, Mission Valley Elementary, Smith Elementary, Howell Middle School, Patti Welder Middle School, Stroman Middle School and East High School all were impacted by last week’s Polar Plunge. The damage is causing some delays to on-campus learning this week.

Students at these seven campuses will get an update on Monday, February 22 at 4 p.m. All other campuses in the district return to on-campus learning Tuesday, February 23, 2021 with a two-hour delay.

Tuesday start times:

Elementary 10 a.m. with doors open at 9:30 a.m.

Middle School 10:30 a.m. with doors open at 10 a.m.

High School 9:30 a.m. with doors open at 9 a.m.

School buses will resume their routes with the two-hour delay. So, if you are normally picked up at 6:30 a.m. expect a bus to arrive at 8:30 a.m. School dismissal is not affected by the two-hour delay.

Students who are learning remotely also return to learning with a two-hour delay. Secondary students will begin school in their third period class.
