Victoria I.S.D. will have a new face at tonight’s board meeting
The board will introduce Mandy Lingle who will now serve District 4
VICTORIA, Texas – Today’s meeting will have a new face as the board introduces Mandy Lingle, she’s a former substitute teacher for the district and will now serve district 4.
After winning the May 1 General Election, Lingle replaces long-time board member, Ross Mansker, who decided not to seek re-election.
The board will also bring back some familiar faces such as Estella De Los Santos, Vice President and District 2 trustee.
One of the items on the meeting agenda is reviewing the district’s mask mandate policy, after Governor Abbott issued an executive order prohibiting government entities from mandating masks including public schools after June 4.
With the addition of Mandy Lingle, four of the seven board members are women, making it a woman majority board.
Tonight, the board will reorganize and name new leadership.
