Victoria I.S.D. updates meal distribution program
V.I.S.D. will offer meals for students over summer break
VICTORIA, Texas- Throughout the summer, the Victoria I.S.D. will continue with its meal distribution program.
The V.I.S.D. stated it is committed to supporting families and the community.
The meals will continue to be offered to all children via curbside pick-up on Mondays and Thursdays. Monday will contain breakfast and lunch for Monday through Wednesday. Thursday will contain breakfast and lunch for Thursday through Sunday. The V.I.S.D. will offer take-home meals beginning Monday, June 1, 2020 at five elementary schools.
Meal distribution will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m at Aloe Elementary 62 Chaparral, Crain Elementary 2706 N. Azalea, Hopkins Elementary 110 Hopkins Rd., and Rowland Elementary 2706 Leary Lane. Students can pick up meals from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Torres Elementary 4208 Lone Tree.
Any child age 18 and younger, as well as special needs students up to the age of 21, can receive free meals. Each child receiving a meal must be present, unless the parent provides a copy of a birth certificate, current report card, or student ID for each child. Children do not need to be enrolled at the distribution site school, nor do they need to be enrolled in the V.I.S.D.
