VICTORIA, Texas – With the 2021-22 school year around the corner, Victoria I.S.D. is still looking to fill about 50 teaching positions, as of July 28, 2021. If you have a Bachelor’s degree of any kind and are interested in teaching, V.I.S.D. wants to talk to you.

Considering the nationwide teacher shortage, many school districts, including V.I.S.D., are struggling to find teachers in time for the upcoming school year. As teacher availability is decreasing, student enrollment is steadily increasing.

Victoria I.S.D. to hold second job fair

On Aug. 4, Victoria I.S.D. will hold its second job fair in attempt to fill the teaching vacancies that remain open. If you have any desire of teaching one day and hold a Bachelor’s degree of any kind, V.I.S.D. would appreciate the chance to speak with you about their open positions and many opportunities available.

Several perks included with a teaching career at Victoria I.S.D. include summer, winter and spring break. Holiday breaks including Thanksgiving and Christmas, along with federal holidays are also something else for you to look forward to. The district also offers benefits, retirement and insurance opportunities. Additionally, some positions have an extra financial stipend.

Opportunities for retirees

If you are a retiree wishing to work part-time, V.I.S.D. wants to talk to you too. There are many opportunities for you such as substituting for both short-term and long-term needs, instructional coaches, paraprofessionals and anyone who wants to be a part of educating today’s youth.

If you are interested in working for V.I.S.D., please attend their Job Fair for an on-site interview. The Job Fair will take place on Aug. 4 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Dr. Robert Jaklich Conference Center, 2909 Miori Lane.
