Victoria I.S.D. Bond Q & A event

Building Our Future Together committee to host Q & A event at 5:30 p.m. at Vela Farms in Downtown Victoria

VICTORIA, Texas -Tonight, community members are gathering in downtown Victoria for a Q & A event on the upcoming Victoria I.S.D bond election.

This event starts at 5:30 p.m. it’s another opportunity for the public to come out and have their questions answered regarding the Victoria I.S.D bond election which is set for Tuesday, November 2nd.

They’ll discuss the current condition of Stroman Middle School and whether it should be remodeled or torn down and rebuilt.

You’ll also learn about four propositions on the ballot, the first is proposition ‘A’ which is a three-cent Voter Approval Tax Rate Election, this will raise staff pay to more competitive rates.

The second proposal is Prop ‘A’, the facility bond election, which would provide district-wide repairs like electrical and plumbing updates.

Then there’s proposition ‘B’ which is a complete rebuild of Stroman middle school and proposition ‘C’ which is a complete rebuild of New Mission Valley Elementary

Early voting starts Monday, October 18th and runs through Friday, October 29th.

The Bloomington I.S.D.  is also having a bond election this November.
