Victoria Hurricanes To Host Special Football Game 8-7
Saturday Game To Benefit Charities
Victoria, Texas —
There will be football action in Victoria Saturday night.
The Crossroads Amateur Football League season for the Victoria Hurricanes ended back in June. But the Hurricanes are coming together for a special game. It’s called Humanitarian Bowl II because the proceeds go to a special cause. It’s the Victoria Assocation For Citizens With Disabilities. This group also sponsors local Special Olympics. The Hurricanes will face the San Antonio Warriors, a legendary amateur football team that’s been playing for around 20 years. Hurricanes owner Rudy Guzman told me how this game came together.
“It’s just something that’s in our heart that we want to do. It’s a passion that I have to give back to the community.”
The Victoria Hurricanes take on the San Antonio Warriors in Humanitarian Bowl II. It’s Saturday night at 7:30 at Patti Welder Stadium.
