Victoria Hurricanes To Host League Quarterfinal Saturday
Hurricanes 10-0 On The Season
Victoria, Texas —
If you are ready for big boys 11-on-11 football Saturday night, Memorial Stadium will be the place to be.
The Victoria Hurricanes, hosting the Crossroads Amateur Football League quarterfinals. The Hurricanes, league finalists last year, go into this game 10-0 on the season. The Hurricanes have won the Cactus Region of the CRAFL and they are rated fifth in the Southeast rankings, ranked third in Texas. Since they earned a first round bye in the playoffs, the Hurricanes have not played in about a month. I asked Hurricanes owner Rudy Guzman how that layoff will affect the team.
“It helps because it gives our players a chance to heal and get ready. But at the same time we might be a little rusty at the start of the game.”
The Victoria Hurricanes take on the Austin Vipers at Memorial Stadium Saturday night at 7:00.
